Previously known as Rainbow Education Consultancy, the business was set up in 2002. It became cooperated and changed to its current name – Melbourne Migration & Education Center Pty Ltd (MMEC) in 2005. The main business of the company is to provide education and migration consultancy service.
On the aspect of providing education consultancy, MMEC is one of the biggest agents who organize study tour programs. Each year, MMEC organizes a group of more than 200 secondary school students to come to Melbourne and study in one of the private schools. MMEC also specialized in placing long term students into different private secondary schools and TAFE colleges in Victoria. Each year, MMEC refers hundreds of students to secondary schools and TAFE colleges. In order to provide good after-sale service, MMEC has its own guardianship program and student arrival service program, which help the new students to settle in the new environment. The guardianship program is widely recognized by many schools.
On the aspect of providing migration consultancy, MMEC has the expertise of many kinds of migration category. Its main customers are skill migrants and business migrants.
The company is located in CBD Melbourne and it has a branch office in Shanghai, China. The director of the company, Ms Sarah Cheng is the registered Migration Agent in Australia. She previously worked for DIAC Shanghai Visa Office and one of the private schools in Melbourne.
In 2008, MMEC moved its office to city from Caulfield. The current target of the company is to expand its current business by moving to the university sectors as well as enlarging customer base.
