Guardianship Service Guidelines
1.      Please contact your guardian during working hours (10am – 6pm, Monday to Friday). Please contact your guardian after hours only in an emergent situation (e.g. get lost, traffic accident, get sick). Your guardian will provide you with his/her emergency contact number. E-mail or MSN are the easiest way for parents to contact us.
2.      Guardian will NOT sign any contract (house leasing, internet, telephone, mobile and etc.) for you. And we DO NOT encourage you to sign such a contract.
3.      Please contact your guardian if there is any problem regarding your study or daily life. We will try our best to help you to solve the problem.
4.      Homestay has been arranged for you by school based on your request. Generally speaking, school will NOT change homestay for you unless there is a special reason. Please contact you guardian in written for any changing homestay requests, providing the reasons. We will cooperate with school regarding your request if your request is reasonable. Please be noticed the following reasons are NOT acceptable, e.g. meal is not good enough, far from the school, asked to share a little house works.
5.      School or Homestay agent might charge you for changing to another homestay. This homestay placement fee is charged by school or homestay agent directly. This charge is not included in our guardian service fee.
6.      Please contact your guardian regarding transferring school.  We will give you professional advice according to your situation. Guardian will NOT help you on the visa cancellation or tuition loss if you arrange this through another agent.  
7.      Please DO NOT stay overnight outside homestay. Please let your parents contact guardian directly if you want to stay overnight at your relative’s or friend’s house. Please inform your homestay the detail arrangement after approval from your parents and guardian.
8.      By law, persons who are under 18 years old CANNOT drink alcohol. Your must obey this strictly.
9.      Please kindly be noticed that your parents’ visiting to Melbourne is NOT part of our guardianship. We are NOT responsible for arranging their air ticket, hotel or other things.
10. Guardian will supervise your attendance but is not responsible for your attendance record. Please contact your guardian immediately if you get any warning letter from the school due to your low attendance.
11. Please DO NOT leave school earlier before holiday or come back later. Please let your parents contact guardian directly if there is any special reasons. Your guardian will explain to school and get school’s approval.
12. Please be aware that under some situation, students have to pay homestay vacant fee while during holiday period. Besides, some homestay might charge you extra for heating or internet using.
